The New Year was welcomed a little early Tuesday.
The Children's Museum of La Crosse held its annual Countdown to Noon event. Visitors started making party hats and noise makers at 10 a.m., and then explored the museum. Everyone joined together for a loud countdown to Noon. The countdown ended with a massive bubble wrap stomp.
Organizers say it's a great way for families to celebrate early and together.
“We've got a lot of things here at the museum. We just opened a new exhibit today. It's called ‘I Play.’ It's a way for families to come out and celebrate the new year,” said Christina Knudsen, project director for the museum.
This is the 14th year of the event.
