La Crosse is taking a trip down memory lane while celebrating its history as part of the 18th annual Historic Downtown Day.
The celebration marks the rebirth of La Crosse's downtown.
There were lots of family fun activities throughout the day. Attendees were able to sample local food, have their face painted and enjoy live music.
The event is not only a chance for residents to come together but also a chance for the city to give back to the community.
"Our downtown business group is really a close-knit group and we enjoy working together and we are very appreciative of the downtown or the La Crosse community and the out of town community that supports downtown and this is our way of giving back to them," said Margie Wanek, chairperson of Historic Downtown Day.
