LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) -

La Crosse is getting some national exposure.

The website Business Insider ranked La Crosse second on a list of the most exciting small cities in the U.S.

The website looked at cities with populations between 50 and 60,000. From there, cities were rated on six criteria like the night life, active life options, and percentage of young residents.

"Even for those people who didn't grow up here, I think that's part of why they are here, they see the stuff, the recreation opportunities, the scenic beauty, the quality of the education, live entertainment, all of that, and that's what brings people here," said the Exec. Dir. of the La Crosse Area Convention and Visitor's Bureau Dave Clements.

Topping the list was Hoboken, New Jersey.
