Bill Graul covered in silly string during live Maple Leaf Parade broadcast
StormTeam 8 Meteorologist Bill Graul was covered in silly string during WKBT’s live broadcast of the Oktoberfest Maple Leaf Parade Saturday morning.
Members of 95.7 The Rock came up to the broadcast booth near the end of the parade and started the silly string shenanigans. Graul was co-hosting the live broadcast with News 8 This Morning Anchor Jennifer Livingston.
“A little karma came into play on Saturday," Graul said during News 8 This Morning on Monday. "95.7 The Rock’s truck and float broke down. See, if you mess with Bill Graul when he’s broadcasting the parade, that karma will get you ever time,” Bill said with a laugh. “So lesson learned for 95.7 The Rock.”
Graul said the silly string was actually his idea going into the parade as kind of a defense against 95.7 The Rock. "I was going to arm all of the Channel 8 crew with silly string and somehow my idea went to their idea."
Jennifer Livingston laughed during the silly string shenanigans and said she had nothing to do with it. On News 8 This Morning on Monday, Jennifer told Bill that The Rock calls her every year to give her a warning.
“And the only thing they said this year was ‘sorry if you get a little wet’ so I thought it was going to be squirt guns or something,” she said laughing.
