Bikers in Sparta are revving their engines to make sure no abandoned or abused animal is left unloved.

The Poker Run and Fundraiser took off Saturday morning in Sparta to raise money for Tina's K9 Rescue.

The nonprofit organization takes in all different kinds of animals and gives them the health care and love they need to be ready for adoption.

Saturday's ride is a fundraiser for the rescue.

Bikers will go on a more than 130-mile loop, stopping at different restaurants on the way.

Organizers said the ride is a fun way to take care of the many animals in need in the community.

"People who care about animals are always outraged at situations like this," said Kat Rau, the organizer for the biker's Poker Run. "These animals do not go to a pound. This is a no-kill facility. They are taken care of. Their health is taken care of, their needs are taken care of, they're given a lot of love and attention so that they can come back and be awesome pets or just pets Tina will take care of for life."

Tina's K9 Rescue is completely funded by donations.

Organizers hope to make Saturday's ride an annual fundraiser.
