LA CROSSE, Wis. -- A woman formerly from Minnesota pleads guilty to a lesser charge for punching a five-year-old boy in the face at the Oktoberfest Maple Leaf Parade in La Crosse.
33-year-old Angela Tuchek, who now lists a Stoddard address, pleaded guilty Monday to a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge. A felony child abuse charge was dropped.
According to court documents, Tuchek was arguing with the boy's father when she threw a punch and hit the boy.
A witness told investigators Tuchek and the man shoved each other and that Tuchek hit the boy when he tried to intervene.
Tuchek told police the boy's father had been bumping into her and had hit her with liquid he had brushed off of a table.
Judge Scott Horne sentenced Tuchek a fine of about $200, which she can pay off in community service.
