La Crosse police arrested a 20-year-old woman on several drug charges on Sunday.
Police were patrolling the 400 block of Caledonia Street because of reports of possible narcotics trafficking when an officer noticed a car parked with three people in it, according to the police report. Police say it was a suspected drug buy.
A police officer followed the car, which had a loud muffler noise, and pulled it over on the 200 block of Avon Street, the report states, and then called for a K-9 unit.
Rhena Rouse, the rear passenger, told officers where they could find the drugs when the K-9 unit started searching the car, the police report said. Police found meth in a compact in her purse in the back seat, along with .22 grams of meth in her boot, .52 grams of synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia in a bra. According to the police report, Rouse said the drugs were not hers and they belonged to her boyfriend, but would not name him.
Rouse faces several charges, including possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of synthetic cannabis, and possessing a prescription without having a prescription.
A La Crosse County judge set a $1,000 signature bond for Rouse on Monday afternoon.
