MADISON, Wis. -

All Wisconsin state government agencies are collecting cell phones as part of the "Cell Phones for Soldiers" program.

For every phone valued over $5, the non-profit charity will be able to provide two and a half hours of free talk time to deployed troops.

In the spring, about 1,500 gently used cell phones were collected and donated through Cell Phones for Soldiers. Troops received more than 3,600 hours of free talk time with their family and friends back home.

Since 2004, Cell Phones for Soldiers has provided more than 114 million minutes of free talk time to deployed troops. The Department of Administration, AT&T and Kwik Trip, Inc, are partners in the program.
