A southern Wisconsin sheriff says he's confident the bone fragments found in a burn pit at a home near Evansville belong to a missing Fitchburg teen.
Authorities investigating the disappearance of 18-year-old Aprina Paul discovered the fragments during the weekend. Paul was last seen Oct. 27.
Investigators have been waiting for tests to confirm the identity of the body.
But Rock County Sheriff Robert Spoden tells WISN-TV that he's "confident, very confident" that Paul has been found.
Police say a man in jail on a probationary hold picked Paul up and brought her to the house, where she died. Police say the man has denied wrongdoing in the death.
