A group of horses is looking for a good home thanks to Winona County's Sheriff.
The sheriff's department seized the four horses in February after finding them in poor conditions during a search. One of them was malnourished and was unable to stand.
Since then, they've been nursed back to health and given all their necessary shots.
Now they're up for auction and will go home to the highest bidder. "I just appreciate that people that are interested in any of these horses to come forward, put a bid in, and I want to make sure they have a good home to go to and that they're properly taken care of," said Winona Co. Sheriff Dave Brand.
The last chance to bid on the horses is Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bluff Country Equine Veterinary Center on I-90 near Wilson.
