WEST SALEM, Wis. (WKBT) -

Two new school referendums are being proposed in West Salem.

West Salem residents will notice the two additional questions on the November ballot.

The first questions will be asking voters for $20-million to renovate the Elementary and Middle Schools. The second question will request an additional $5-million for many of the outdoor facilities like the track and a proposed multi-purpose arena.

"Our Middle School needs to be renovated, our Elementary School doesn't have enough room in it, the Boys and Girls Club are serving 150 kids a day and they don't have a place to go, and our outdoor sports activities, about half of them are to the point where we can't use them anymore, and the others just need updating. So these two questions address those four issues,” said West Salem School District Superintendent Troy Gundersen.

The Boys' and Girls' Club pledged to donate two and a half million dollars to cover the cost of including shared space for the club within the renovated middle school.
