Fall is in the air and that means it's time for classic area autumn activities.
The Hidden Trails Corn Maze in West Salem is officially open.
The area tradition has been making mazes out of corn for the last 19 years with a different theme every year.
Due to ongoing construction near the maze, this year's theme is Highway 16 'Cornstruction.'
The maze takes up about 12 acres of land and features four different maze areas inside the larger maze.
The owners of the Hidden Trails Corn Maze say they see a lot of repeats each year.
"I think it's kind of a family tradition to come out here and get some pumpkins; hey we're going to be conquering the corn maze again; hey we've been coming out here since the transformer maze or we've been coming out here since 2007. So definitely a traditional thing for family and friends to come out. Each year it's a little different. We try to add something here and there so it's not the same old thing, " Hidden Trails Owner Brett Miller said.
The maze is open every weekday afternoon until 6pm and on weekends from 11am until 6pm.
