More programs are being funded after another successful campaign by a local non-profit.
The United Way is providing approximately $60,000 more dollars this year as it supports seven new programs. That comes after the organization collected more than two million dollars in its latest fundraising campaign.
The Board's chair says it's a great feeling to be able to support programs like drug free communities, homeless prevention, and community education. "We've had three record setting campaigns in a row and becasue of that our conmmunity investment volunteers are able to allocate additional funds," said Shawn Sackman.
The United Way supports more than 70 programs through a five county region.
