The University of Wisconsin-Madison is set to offer a day of Paralympic sports and activities this weekend.
The school plans to hold the event, dubbed Badgers ADAPT, on Saturday at the Southeast Recreational Facility on campus. Students and athletes of all abilities are invited to participate.
Events will include sitting volleyball; goalball, a game where players wear blindfolds and have to find the ball by listening to bells inside it; the adapted biathlon; guest speakers including an Olympic trainer and a Paralympic swimmer; and a raffle for T-shirts, water bottles, sunglasses and a Kindle Fire.
Registration is not required. Students can simply show up on the day of the event.
