OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) -- Oshkosh Corp. and its union leaders have reached a tentative agreement on a new labor contract.

The nearly 3,100 members of United Auto Workers Local 578 will vote on the contract Saturday morning.

Union members had rejected the previous two contracts, in part because of objection over contract language that would have let the company begin hiring temporary workers.

Union President Nick Nitschke tells The Associated Press that the language in question has been removed. He says he thinks that will turn a lot of previous `no' votes into `yes' votes.

Company spokesman John Daggett declined to comment on the content of Friday's tentative deal. He says the company urges all production employees to cast votes.
