DE PERE, Wis. (AP) -- Police in De Pere have identified the four people killed in an apparent murder-suicide.

In a news release, police say 46-year-old Denis Bay shot and killed his 44-year-old wife Michelle Bay along with his 14-year-old daughter Andrea Bay and 10-year-old son Daniel Bay. He then shot himself.

Police Chief Derek Beiderwieden has said a man called police from inside the house about 3 p.m. Friday to report he had just killed three people and was about to kill himself. The phone line went silent and a loud "pop" was heard.

Police say they are still investigating the motive, but they know Denis Bay was unemployed and his wife filed for divorce in 2010. The divorce was still pending.

Police believe a .45 caliber semi-automatic handgun was used.
