U-Bake closing Onalaska location

U-Bake is closing its Onalaska store at the end of March.

Owner Kris Nandory said "it is with a heavy heart" that she tells her customers about the closure.

"Simply put, sales are not what we anticipated when we consolidated stores," Nandory wrote to her store's email subscribers and posted on U-Bake's Facebook page. "Our expenses have been increasing and financially, we can no longer support the business."

Nandory says the tentative closure date is Friday, March 29. They will honor gift cards and fundraising vouchers until the store closes. U-Bake's La Crosse location, which opened in October 2006, closed earlier this year. The Onalaska location originally opened in February 2011.

"We have loved being part of your lives," Nandory told her customers.
