Local athletes competed in a unique competition Saturday morning.
The 22nd annual Tri-Quest was held at Drugan's.
The race includes a 5K run, a 32K bike race and nine holes of golf.
The event started as a challenge between friends but has become an area fundraiser for area children's groups.
Organizers say the event is about supporting area children.
"We have three beneficiary organizations that we work with and the funds we raise go to them. It rotates on an annual basis. This year, the funds go to Family and Children's Center and next year it'll be the Children's Museum and last year it was the Boys And Girls Club. We work with those three organizations and they have a place on our board and it's those organizations that receive the big checks at the end of the year when we actually raise the money from the event," David Krump, Tri-Quest Organizer said.
Around 80 people participated in Sunday's event.
