Train derails in La Crosse
No one injured
A train derailment in La Crosse sent several cars off the tracks at the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) railyard at about 11:15 Thursday night.
BNSF says no one was hurt when six cars jumped the tracks. All of the cars stayed upright.
The train was carrying vehicles from Illinois to Washington state when the accident happened. That part of the track is being repaired and is expected to reopen Friday evening. The derailment won't affect passenger travel.
Officials are still investigating what caused the derail.
