Train derailment leaves mess, no injuries near Hatfield
A train derailed Saturday evening near Hatfield leaving a big mess but no injuries.
The accident was reported around 6 p.m. near the intersection of Highway J near Hatfield. That's on the border of Jackson County and Clark County.
19 train cars carrying sand derailed, according to Clark County Emergency Management Director John Ross.
The train was traveling between Taylor and Wisconsin Rapids.
An investigation into what caused the derailment is underway.
