LA CROSSE, Wis. -

La Crosse police say a Bee Cab driver was attacked and robbed by two men in an alley behind the 900 block of Vine Street on Thursday at about 7:30 p.m.

Police say when the cab driver arrived at the dispatched location, one of the suspects talked to him through the passenger side window.  That’s when the second suspect entered the back seat and choked the cab driver and then hit him in the face, according to police.

The driver gave the suspects money from the cab and the two men left the scene. Police say the cab driver drove himself to the hospital for treatment for minor facial injuries.

Police do not have any suspects in custody at this time.  The victim described the two suspects as black men in their mid-20s wearing all dark colored clothing. The first suspect was described as about 6 feet 2 inches tall and about 200 pounds. The second suspect was described as about 5 foot 7 inches and weighed about 175 pounds.
