It was a day of no limitations for area children with disabilities.
The La Crosse YWCA's Adaptive Swim Meet at Logan high school gives children of all ages a chance to compete in the pool no matter what disabilities they have.
The kids practice once a week throughout the year and are able to showcase what they've learned at the meet.
Organizer Lisa Mathson said it's a freeing experience for the kids.
"A lot of kids with disabilities, with physical disabilities don't have the independence that they have in the water and when they get in the water they feel that independence and feel like they're just like everybody else," said Mathson.
Mathson said it's important for the kids to be able to bond with others who also have disabilities.
