SPARTA, Wis. -- Voters say "yes" to a referendum that allows the Sparta School District to upgrade buildings and technology.
The final tally Tuesday was 1,039 yes votes to 572 no votes for the referendum that allows the district to exceed state revenue limits by $750,000 each year for the next three years.
The previous referendum expires at the end of the school year.
District officials say the referendum will help improve buildings, technology and fund community learning centers.
The vote will not increase residents' taxes.
