SPARTA, Wis. -- A Sparta pastor is arrested for the alleged sexual assault of a teenage girl he was home schooling.

41-year-old James Monson, the pastor for the Gaining Ground Community Church, is accused of having sexual contact with the 16-year-old girl at his home, police say.

The girl's mother called police initially and told them her daughter, who is from Texas, had been touched inappropriately. The girl told police she had sexual contact with Monson several times.

Monson faces possible charges of sex with a child 16 or older and sexual exploitation by a therapist.

Monson is expected back in court next week after posting a $25,000 signature bond after a court appearance Wednesday afternoon.
