For the last four years, there's been another Souper Bowl that takes place here in our area.
Most of the taverns in the La Crosse Tavern League were collecting non-perishable items on Sunday for the Hunger Take Force. Those items will then be distributed to different food shelves in our area.
Double Deuce Bar & Grill on French Island has collected the most donations in recent years and is hoping to win it's third straight title.
"I think we have more than we did last year and more money," said Tom Peterson, owner of Double Deuce Bar & Grill.
"There's more money in the can because people keep forgetting their (non-perishable) cans so I make them put money in the jug," he added.
The donations will be collected later this week so there's still time to help out.
The Hunger Task Force supports 60 different food programs in the La Crosse area.
