Both candidates for U-S Senate in Wisconsin spent
their day in the Green Bay area today.
Senator Ron Johnson visited a manufacturing plant
in De Pere .
to highlight the importance of manufacturing jobs
Johnson says the economy hasn't been growing as fast
as it should be following the Great Recession .
and it's a topic that's being overlooked this campaign
I think what these campaigns ought to be almost exclusively
about is what can we do to grow our economy.
What can we do to make America, the economy realize
its full potential?
Challenger Russ Feingold visited the Green Bay Chamber
of Commerce today.
While there .
he laid out his plans to give Wisconsinites more economic
It's a serious plan, it's not just saying the word
'jobs' over and over again.
It says, wait a minute.
First thing we gotta do is deal with the infrastructure
issue, which is what we're doing right now.
Second thing is training.
You know, you can have as many job openings as you
want, but if there isn't anybody trained to do the
job, it doesn't work.
According to the most recent poll from Marquette University
Feingold is holding a six-point lead over Johnson
among likely Wisconsin voters.
