Ryans take their 3 children out for Halloween

JANESVILLE, Wis. (AP) -

Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan and his wife, Janna, took their three children trick-or-treating-in their hometown of Janesville on Wednesday evening.

Paul Ryan said he used to go trick-or-treating on the same streets.

Ten-year-old daughter Liza dressed up as pop star Katy Perry. Sam, 7, and Charlie, 9, dressed up as "spooky goblins."

Ryan spent the day campaiging in Wisconsin. When a reporter asked him about polls as he was preparing for the trick-or-treating, Ryan said he wasn't taking questions about the race while spending time with his family.

Ryan wore a red University of Wisconsin jacket and hat. Mrs. Ryan wore a witch's hat and veil.
