ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) -

A man didn't have far to go to jail after allegedly assaulting another man while they worked on the roof of a central Minnesota jail.

The St. Cloud Times reports the men got into an argument Monday while on the roof of the Stearns County Jail. One man is accused of hitting the other with a rake used for spreading rocks.

Sheriff's officials arrested a 43-year-old St. Cloud man and booked him for investigation of second-degree assault.

The 23-year-old victim suffered a cut to his forehead and told investigators he had a tooth knocked out. Paramedics treated him.

Sheriff John Sanner says the men were temporary employees of the company hired to re-roof the jail.
