MADISON, Wis. -

Unemployment rates dropped in all of the state’s 32 largest cities between August and September, according to the latest report released by the state Department of Workforce Development Wednesday.

In the City of La Crosse, the report showed the unemployment rate dropped from 7.1 percent in August to 5.7 percent in September.  

Unemployment rates also fell in all 72 counties. In La Crosse County, the report showed the unemployment in La Crosse County dropped from 5.7 percent in August to 4.8 percent in September.

The data isn't seasonally adjusted and is subject to significant revision. The seasonally adjusted statewide unemployment rate in September was 7.3 percent.
