The Prairie du Chien Police Department will use a recent monetary donation toward the purchase of investigative equipment.

Scream Extreme, a group of volunteers that host a haunted house in Prairie du Chien around Halloween, gave the police department a $75 check on Tuesday.

"I want to personally thank the Scream Extreme Staff for this donation," Police Chief Chad Abram said. "A lot of volunteer work goes into the haunted house each year for the citizens from Prairie du Chien and other community's to enjoy."
