Parks and Rec. Dept. tests kids on zombie survival skills
The city of Cedar Rapids wants kids to be ready for anything -- including a zombie attack.
The Parks and Recreation Department is holding two weeks of zombie survival camp through the end of March at the Ushers Ferry Historic Village. Adventurous kids between the ages of 8 and 12 are eligible to participate.
Organizers say kids will make an emergency survival kit, build a shelter and find their way in the wilderness.
The camp will test the kids' newly acquired survival skills on the last day with a "water gun war" of humans vs. zombies.
