SHELLSBURG, Iowa (AP) -

Officials in eastern Iowa say a school bus carrying students became stuck when the road underneath it collapsed.

The Vinton-Shellsburg Community School District says the incident happened Monday morning as the school bus was traveling through Shellsburg.

Cedar Rapids television station KCRG reports no one was injured. A photo provided by the school district shows the bus wheels sunk several inches into the crumbled road.

It is unclear how many students were on the bus.

The school district says a water main break under the road may have caused the collapse.
