The 'gun deer' season opens tomorrow in Wisconsin.
In this week's News 8 eyepiece photographer Greg White
went looking for what area hunters are keeping in
Saturday is the big day, yeah.
Well, let's see, I started at 5.
I'm 66 years old, so 60 years.
I shot my first shotgun at 5.
knocked me right on my butt.
Well, when they should clean is after the season.

And just make sure everything is functioning properly.
Well, my grandson, he's 14 now, but teaching the kids
how to properly handle a gun.
He's seen three deer, but it was so foggy up there,
he didn't shoot.
Which made me happy.
Because you've got to identify your target and what's
beyond, so he didn't shoot.
He knew one was a buck, he seen horns, but it was
so foggy he couldn't identify him and I was happy
Now he goes out and he gets to sit alone this year.
And we'll see how it goes, you know.'
He's got the same ethics and stuff that I try to instill
in him, my sons...
that's the way it is.
Be safe number one, number two make life long lasting
memories, you know and good luck.
Keep in mind...if you're heading out hunting tomorrow
or near areas where hunters may be.
make sure to wear approved colors like blaze orange
