A liberal advocacy group is asking a federal judge
to put Wisconsin's voter I-D law on hold for next
month's election .
unless the state can immediately improve its process
for providing voting credentials.
Attorneys for One Wisconsin Institute say recent audio
recordings made at D-M-V offices across the state
show would-be voters are being given inaccurate and
misleading information about the documents needed
to get a voting I-D.
The D-M-V is assuring state lawmakers that workers
will receive additional training about which documents
are needed in order to get an I-D.
