Beloit police say two homeowners were hurt when armed gunmen in masks forced their way into their houses to rob them.
Authorities say the first home invasion happened about 8 p.m. Monday night. A homeowner was hit in the head with a gun as a number of suspects rummaged through the house and fled with electronics and cash. Police say the victim was treated at the scene.
Officers responded to a second robbery about 1½ hours later. WKOW-TV reports a homeowner was shot twice in the shoulder after struggling with masked gunmen who had forced their way into the house. The suspects fled after the shooting. The homeowner was taken to Beloit Memorial Hospital.
