DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -

A Des Moines man says he'll continue working with his landlord to better secure his motorized wheelchair so it isn't stolen again.

Des Moines television station KCCI reports that Don Snyder's wheelchair was missing when he checked on it Wednesday morning. Snyder says the wheelchair had been stolen twice before.

Des Moines police say the chair was found near a bike trail about two miles away.

Snyder says the 500-pound wheelchair sits in the apartment parking lot because it's too wide to fit through the doors, and there are steps leading to his patio.

Snyder says he has bad knees and lung problems and that the wheelchair is his only transportation. He says "it's a pretty low person" who would steal something from someone with a medical problem.
