LA CROSSE, Wis. -

Local volunteers with the Salvation Army are ready to head out east when the call comes in.

All along the coast, the Salvation Army has set up dozens of feeding operations, some of which started Monday night while the storm was still passing through.

Chapters throughout the Midwest, including in La Crosse, are ready to go when the call comes in to mobilize and lend a hand until their job is done. "This one's going to be months and months and months, at Katrina we were still there 9 months after Katrina and I'm sure this one is going to be exactly the same," said Major Paul Moore.

If you'd like to donate right now, the Salvation Army is looking for monetary donations. 100% of the donations will help in the disaster areas.
