The board has scheduled a special meeting at 1:30 p.m. Friday to formally set the date for the countywide vote. The board took public comment on the gambling issue Wednesday.
The Vote Yes Linn County group pushed the March 5 date after gathering more than 16,000 signatures to prompt a special election.
