La Crosse area trip to Miller Park scheduled

LA CROSSE, Wis. -

Brewers fans, mark your calendars for the 16th annual La Crosse Area Day at Miller Park.

On June 27, an estimated 1,200-1,500 people from the Coulee Region will bus down to Milwaukee to watch the Brewers take on the Chicago Cubs.

On Wednesday, peopled learned the details while at the Onalaska American Legion.

Tickets cost $80 this year and include the bus, tailgate party, and game ticket.

This year will be a milestone for fans. The 25,000 fan taking part in La Crosse Area Day will walk through the turnstile and into the park.

"People look forward to this event, and like I said it's a family event and people mark it on their calendars and people call to figure out the date at the beginning of the year so they can make sure they have the day off," says Michelle Hoch, the director of tourism.

Onalaska Mayor Joe Chilsen has the honor of throwing out the first pitch.
