LA CROSSE, Wis. -- The La Crosse Loggers added some pink to their uniforms Tuesday night. It was for Steppin' Out in Pink Night at the Lumberyard.
Fans at the game supported the event which raises money and awareness for breast cancer in our area.
Last year, 5,400 people took part in the Steppin' Out in Pink walk.
Tuesday night, breast cancer survivors came to the park, including this year's honorary chair.
Doctor Leah Dietrich is an Oncologist who never thought she'd get cancer and says the event is now more personal. "Last year was the first year I was there as a survivor, and now being more involved in the event as honorary chairperson makes it all that much more special," said Dietrich.
Steppin Out in Pink is Saturday, September 8th at the Gundersen Lutheran walking trails in La Crosse.
