DURANT, Iowa (AP) -

An eastern Iowa judge has ordered members of a local school board to serve 30 days in jail for violating a court order.

The Quad-City Times reports that members of the Durant School Board found in contempt must each pay a $500 fine for not fully reinstating a high school principal who had been wrongfully fired.

Durant High School Principal Monica Rouse was fired in 2010 on allegations of wrongdoing, but appealed to the Iowa Supreme Court and won.

Rouse returned to her job in April, but board members and the superintendent later admitted that she wasn't allowed access to student records, her old computer or to the entire Durant High School facility.

The ruling was filed against Dick Stoltenberg, Brian Fargo, Sheila Compton, Steve Ralfs and Joel Meincke.
