Senator Ron Johnson and Russ Feingold met tonight
for their second debate in five days.
This time .
the debate was held in Milwaukee .
in conjunction with Marquette Law School.
The two once again were asked about their support
of the candidates at the top of the ticket.
Johnson disagrees with Donald Trump's claims that
the election is rigged .
but does say more attention needs to be paid to Hillary
Feingold supported Clinton .
saying she's always been honest with him when they've
worked together in the past.
The two were also asked what they would do to improve
economic opportunities for the people of Wisconsin
including possibly raising the minimum wage.
On your show, when you asked him about the minimum
wage, his proposal would raise that to 15 dollars
You know there are a number of studies that say that
would cost the american economy six to seven million
jobs and Senator Feingold says yeah there will be
Well that's a nice little euphemism for a father not
having a job to provide for his family.
Senator Johnson paid himself 700 thousand dollars
for 10 years for his time as at his company after
he went to the senate and he described that as reasonable.
He doesn't think raising the minimum wage from 7 dollars
and 25 cents is reasonable.
The most recent poll from Marquette Law School shows
the race between Johnson and Feingold a dead heat
with Feingold narrowly holding a two point lead.
