Iowa man sentenced for abusing daughters
A Des Moines man has been sentenced to decades in prison after pleading guilty to sexually abusing three of his daughters.
KCCI-TV reports the man was sentenced Friday in a Polk County courtroom to 50 years in prison with a requirement that he serve at least 70 percent of the sentence before being eligible for parole. He can't have contact with his children until 2018, and the ban would be extended at that time.
The man's wife was previously sentenced to up to 30 years in prison after prosecutors say she failed to do anything to stop the abuse.
The couple has nine children.
