NORTHWOOD, Iowa (AP) -

A 46-year-old northern Iowa man has pleaded not guilty to a charge of vehicular homicide while driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Michael Chodur, of Kensett, was charged in Worth County District Court in Northwood in connection with a fatal collision on Sept. 2. Authorities say Chodur and 57-year-old Lynn Weedman, of Glenville, Minn., were driving east on a Worth County road when Chodur's car struck the back of Weedman's.

Both drivers were injured. Weedman died Sept. 5 at an Iowa City hospital.

The Mason City Globe Gazette says no trial date has set.
