Iowa City tests outdoor warning system sirens
Officials in Iowa City are reminding residents that their outdoor warning system sirens are being tested.
Johnson County Emergency Management says the sirens will go off Friday afternoon. They are not indicative of an emergency.
The sirens will be activated twice around noon. It will test a software upgrade to the county-wide radio system and make sure the system is working properly.
Each test will take one minute or less.
