Iowa ATV collision kills 1 driver, injures another
Iowa authorities are investigating a fatal collision between all-terrain vehicles in western Iowa.
The Monona County Sheriff's Office says the accident was reported a little before 9 p.m. Saturday. It occurred southwest of Whiting in rural Monona County.
Officials say 31-year-old Nathan Derocher, of Onawa, was pronounced dead at the scene west of Interstate 29. Twenty-one-year-old Dalton Brown, of Onawa, was flown to Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City. Hospital officials declined to comment on Brown's condition.
What caused the collision and other details about it haven't been released.
