LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) -

A new website is launched to help in the effort to end veteran homelessness in La Crosse.

The La Crosse Collaborative to End Homelessness created the website to increase awareness about the issue.

Last week, the organization set a goal to end veteran homelessness in 100 days. Members of the collaborative say the website is only a small step towards meeting their goal.

"Tomorrow we're meeting with our veterans focus group, and we're going to start plotting out who's going to offer housing to those folks and work on our plan from there,” said La Crosse Collaborative to End Homelessness Chair Kim Cable.

The Collaborative’s overall goal is to end all homelessness in La Crosse. The first step towards that goal is targeting the homeless veteran population.
