GRANT COUNTY, Wis. -

An investigation into several hit-and-run crashes in a Grant County village lead police to a 10th offense OWI arrest.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Department was called to the village of Dickeyville at 3:50 Thursday afternoon for a report of hit-and-run crashes in Main Street.

Witnesses followed the offending vehicle, according to sheriff’s officials.

The vehicle was located by deputies west of Cuba City on County Road H in Smelser Township.

Dennis Barghols, 60, of Coshocton, Ohio was arrested on suspicion of 10th offense operating while intoxicated, inattentive driving, hit-and-run of an unattended vehicle, failure to notify police of an accident, operating a vehicle without insurance, and knowingly operating a vehicle without a driver’s license causing property damage.
