People hoping to escape the stress of Election Day
could still play a round of golf today.
Forest Hills in La Crosse is still seeing plenty of
business on the links .

They say they saw more than 100 players per day over

business than they usually see in November.
The real benefit we have right now is the ground has
not frozen yet, so it's still comfortably playing,
you can still take a divot, it's enjoyable at that
point, the greens are rolling beautiful, it's great
Officials at Forest Hills say business shows no signs
of slowing down in the next week or so .
even though the second week of November typically
acts as the unofficial end to golf season.
Usually right before deer hunting it kind of takes
care of itself at that point.
Between the cold weather, the frozen conditions, the
fact that we need maintenance to have a good week
on the golf course before we shut it down permanently.
The warm weather is creating another benefit.
Forest Hills says they will offer free golf to any
veteran or active service member this Friday for Veterans
