Firefighters say a blaze has gutted a vacant house in Meservey.
The Mason City Globe Gazette reports that the fire was reported around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, and that firefighters from Meservey and Thornton responded.
Thornton Fire Chief Mike Jensen says the fire started in the home's attached garage.
A cause for the fire has not yet been determined. No injuries were reported.
Jensen says no neighboring houses had to be evacuated.
